The Circuit's Edge was launched in 1994 as a BBS (Bulletin Board System) to help give computer users a meeting place. As the Internet was becoming popular, TCE launched its full Internet Access in 1996 to provide access to local residents of Sandy Creek, NY where the only alternatives were long distance calls. TCE's technical experts became so popular with surrounding communities, that in 2006, it was decided to launch its access to the rest of the USA, but focusing primarily on Central and Northern New York State.
